SB 557 - This act exempts qualified projects performed by any institution of higher education from prevailing wage requirements. A qualified project is a project to accomplish the demolition or removal of one or more buildings that are no longer in use and that is paid for with funds from an account titled or referred to as "Deferred Maintenance" or any other similar name. This act is identical to HB 1267 (2021).
