JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Eric Burlison, R-Battlefield, was presented with the Excellence in Health Care Legislation award from the Missouri Nurses Association for his continued support of nursing professionals in Missouri.
“It is an absolute honor to receive this award, and I’m humbled by this recognition,” Sen. Burlison said. “Our nursing community works tirelessly to provide excellent care and superior service every day. I stand committed to fight alongside Missouri’s nursing community to create more opportunities for them to do what they are trained to do.”
Throughout his time in the General Assembly, Sen. Burlison has been a long-standing advocate for removing burdensome statutes and regulations that could hurt our workforce, weaken our economy and create unnecessary barriers for employment. This year, Sen. Burlison has sponsored legislation relating to advanced practice registered nurses and occupational therapists.
This is the second time Sen. Burlison has received this award from the Missouri Nurses Association.
