8th Annual Health CareFair Provides FREE Health Services and Fresh Produce to All Attendees

ST. LOUIS – State Senator Jill Schupp, D-Creve Coeur, in partnership with Rep. Tracy McCreery, D-St. Louis, and Operation Food Search will host a free health care event on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. until noon outside at Ritenour High School. This is the eighth year Sen. Schupp has offered the annual CareFair to help people of all ages access a large array of health services easily, conveniently and at no cost.
“Food insecurity has increased by 23% in Missouri since before the pandemic and health care costs have skyrocketed. Needs in our community are high, and the CareFair provides needed services and fresh produce to all who attend, no questions asked,” Sen. Schupp said.
Free flu shots will be available for attendees, age 6 months and older, and those over the age of 5 may receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Additionally, the following resources will be available:
- Vision, Hearing, Blood Pressure & Sugar Screenings
- Rx, Rent & Utility, Food, Diaper & Child Care Assistance Sign-Ups
- Mental Health & Crisis Resources
- Colon Cancer Screening Kits & Other Cancer-Fighting Information
- Job & Training Opportunities
- Gun Trigger Lock Giveaways
- Medicaid & Medicare Navigation
The event and services are free and open to all, with no insurance required. Attendees who wish to receive flu or COVID shots are encouraged to wear short sleeves.
