SB 534 - Currently, paramedic training programs used as part of an emergency medical technician license shall be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or hold a CAAHEP letter of review. This act repeals this accreditation requirement and such programs shall instead be accredited as required by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. This act is identical to provisions in the truly agreed to and finally passed SS/HB 402 (2023), the truly agreed to and finally passed HCS/SS/SB 24 (2023), and the truly agreed to and finally passed CCS/HCS/SB 186 (2023).
