SB 619 - This act provides that the Board of Trustees of the Public School Retirement System of the City of St. Louis shall administer and distribute a one-time supplemental payment, subject to appropriation by the General Assembly, of a pension benefit to eligible retired members or beneficiaries of the system. The supplemental payment shall be an additional payment to a regular monthly pension benefit and shall be payable no later than September 30, 2023. Additionally, the supplemental payment shall be equal to the lesser of: (1) The gross amount of the pension benefit to which the retired member or beneficiary is otherwise entitled for the calendar month immediately prior to the calendar month in which the supplemental payment is issued; or
(2) Two thousand dollars.
This act is similar to HB 670 (2023), HB 898 (2023), HB 1831 (2022), HB 2352 (2022), HB 211 (2021), HB 1273 (2021), HB 2728 (2020), and HB 2744 (2020).
