HB 286 -- MEDICAID BENEFITS FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

Currently, pregnant women receiving MO HealthNet pregnancy-related and postpartum benefits and Show-Me Healthy Babies Program benefits shall continue to be eligible for these benefits for 60 days following the last day of their pregnancy. This bill provides these pregnant women shall also be eligible for benefits as described in the bill during their pregnancy and for one year following the last day of their pregnancy. The Department of Social Services shall seek any necessary state plan amendments or waivers to implement the extension of these benefits.
