HB 373 -- EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SALES TAX

This bill authorizes the governing body of counties with more than 260,000 but fewer than 300,000 inhabitants, or any city within those counties, to impose, upon voter approval, a sales tax not to exceed .25% on all retail sales within the county or city for the purpose of funding early childhood education.
Upon enactment, this section would apply to Greene County.
This bill is similar to HB 2251 (2022).
