SB 188 - This act specifies that when a group of individual motor vehicles utilizes vehicle-to-vehicle communications to travel in a unified manner at electronically coordinated speeds, non-lead vehicles in the group are exempt from certain requirements relating to minimum following distance. This act is identical to HB 624 (2023), SB 1038 (2022), SB 186 (2019), and HB 748 (2019), and similar to provisions in SCS/HB 584 (2019), provisions in HCS/SB 21 (2019), SCS/SB 861 (2018), HCS/HB 1295 (2018), SB 243 (2017), provisions in HCS/HB 108 (2017), SCS/SB 923 (2016), SS/HB 1733 (2016), and HCS/HB 2345 (2016).
