HB 51 -- BIRTH CERTIFICATES

This bill clarifies that upon receipt of a court order indicating that the sex of an individual has been changed by a sex reassignment surgery and that the individual's name has been changed, the birth certificate of that individual must be amended. Current law uses the term surgical procedure.
This bill is the same as HB 2717 (2022).
