HB 137 -- INSTRUCTION IN SCHOOLS

This bill defines "gender identity" and "sexual orientation". Currently schools are required to notify parents of certain information related to the school's human sexuality instruction and make all curriculum materials used in the human sexuality instruction available for public inspection. This bill expands those requirements to also include any curriculum, material, test, survey, questionnaire, activity, or instruction of any kind related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
This bill is similar to HB 1752 (2022).
