This bill allows the parents of a qualified student currently receiving a Missouri Empowerment Scholarship grant to enter a written agreement with an educational assistance organization to forgo a grant award for one fiscal year without such qualified student losing eligibility for the program in subsequent fiscal years and without the student needing to requalify for the program again.
