HB 294 -- LIEN ON CHATTEL

Currently, a person expending labor, services, skill or materials on chattel at the request of its owner in the amount of $25 or less has a lien on the chattel beginning at the start of the expenditure. This bill increases the amount to $10,000 or less and authorizes enforcement of the lien by sale of the chattel.
