HB 365 -- PRIVILEGED COMMUNICATIONS

Currently, communication regarding child abuse and neglect to a minister or member of the clergy is considered a privileged communication which does not have to be reported or provided as evidence in judicial proceedings. This bill eliminates that privilege and makes ministers and clergypersons mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect.
This bill is the same as HB 1812 (2020).
