HB 387 -- SUFFRAGE FOR FELONS

SPONSOR: Aldridge

This bill prohibits incarcerated persons, persons on probation or parole after conviction of a dangerous felony, and persons having ever been convicted, of a felony or misdemeanor, in connection with the right of suffrage from voting. Currently, all felons are prohibited from voting while on probation or parole, not just those having been convicted of a dangerous felony.

This bill is the same as HB 2266 (2022).
