HB 429 -- JUROR COMPENSATION

This bill repeals the current structure for juror compensation and provides that a grand or petit juror will be compensated at least the state or federal minimum wage, whichever is greater, for every hour he or she serves as a juror. A juror will also be reimbursed for mileage for travel from the juror's residence to the courthouse at the rate allowable for state employees.
