HB 537 -- COMPENSATION OF COURT REPORTERS

This bill modifies the annual salary of a court reporter for a circuit judge by providing a percentage based increase for each court reporter's cumulative years of service with the circuit court plus an additional percentage increase taking into account the previous range of years of service, as specified in the bill.
This bill repeals the provision stating that a court reporter may receive multiple adjustments as his or her years of service increase, but that only 1% increase shall apply to the annual salary at a time.
This bill is the same as SB 154 (2023).
