SB 396 - This act requires air ambulance membership products to cover air ambulance services in full, as such terms are defined in the act, and prohibits the air ambulance service provider from billing or accepting payment from any other insurance product for the transport or emergency services. Air ambulance membership products shall be considered insurance for purposes of enforcement of this act by the Director of the Department of Commerce and Insurance.
This act contains a severability clause, and a delayed effective date of August 28, 2024.
This act is substantially similar to HB 1251 (2023), SB 1120 (2022), and HB 2648 (2022).
