HB 1117 Creates requirements for designating certain state holidays

HS/HB 1117 - Beginning January 1, 2024, in order for a day to be designated by the General Assembly in honor of a deceased individual, the individual must be deceased for at least three years. If the individual was killed in combat while on active duty in the military or killed in the line of duty as a first responder, such individual shall be deceased for at least one year.
