- Prepared by Senate Research -

HB 400 - This act modifies provisions relating to notices provided by political subdivisions.

COUNTY PLANNING BOARDS

Current law requires county planning boards to provide notice prior to adopting a master plan. This act requires such notice to be posted on the county's website and in at least two conspicuous places in each township. (Section 64.231)

DELINQUENT LAND LISTS

Current law requires a county collector to publish the list of delinquent lands and lots in a newspaper of general circulation in the county for three consecutive weeks before holding a sale. This act provides that such publication be published once during the third calendar week before the sale. Thereafter the list shall be posted in the courthouse and on the county's public website if the county has such a website. (Section 140.170)

This act is substantially similar to HCS/HB 344 (2023).
