SS/SB 214 - Under this act, a biological father shall have a duty to pay 50% of the mother's pregnancy-related expenses, including the pregnant mother's health insurance premiums while pregnant and medical costs relating to the pregnancy. If paternity is contested, the biological father shall not be obligated to pay such expenses until paternity is established. Any order awarding pregnancy-related expenses under this act may be a part of or separate from a child support order and nothing in this act prohibits a party from petitioning the court for child support in addition to or separate from an order for pregnancy-related expenses.SARAH HASKINS
