Current Bill Summary

SB 807 - Currently, collaborative practice arrangements shall contain how the collaborating physician and the advanced practice registered nurse ("APRN") will maintain geographic proximity. This act repeals this requirement and provides that the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts and the State Board of Nursing shall not promulgate rules to enforce any geographic proximity requirements, including mileage or distance, on collaborative practice arrangements between physicians and registered professional nurses located in this state. Any regulations in effect on August 28, 2024, shall no longer be effective and any provision of a collaborative practice arrangement requiring geographic proximity of the physician and registered professional nurse shall be unenforceable.

This act is identical to a provision in HB 2217 (2024) and is similar to a provision in HB 1773 (2024).
