HB 612 -- DISPOSITION OF HUMAN REMAINS

SPONSOR: Crossley

This bill adds "alkaline hydrolysis" and "natural organic reduction", as both terms are defined in the bill, as eligible methods for the final disposition of human remains.

The bill additionally updates several related provisions regarding the right of sepulcher, the penalties for violations of the provisions governing the disposition of human remains, and the responsibilities of funeral establishments and directors, cemeteries, physicians, and coroners, as they pertain to alkaline hydrolysis and natural organic reduction.
