SB 237 - Current law authorizes a state and local sales tax exemption for certain energy sources used in the manufacturing or producing of any product. This act repeals the local sales tax exemption and allows a political subdivision to exempt such transactions from local sales taxes levied by the political subdivision, provided that such exemption is approved by a vote of the people.
