HCS#2/HBs 567, 546, 758 & 958 - This act modifies provisions relating to employee compensation. Current law provides that the minimum wage rate shall be $13.75 per hour for the 2025 calendar year, with an increase to $15.00 per hour on January 1, 2026, and cost of increases or decreases each year thereafter, based on the change in the Consumer Price Index. This act repeals the yearly increases. Additionally, the act makes the minimum wage rate applicable to public employers, as defined in the act.
Furthermore, the act also repeals provisions of law establishing paid sick time for certain private employees.
