SB 574 - This act provides that members of a school board shall be entitled to official immunity, which protects public officials against civil liability for injuries or damages arising from discretionary actions or omissions, including the casting or abstention of votes, within the scope of the official's authority. Additionally, this act provides that school boards shall be public entities for purposes of sovereign immunity.KATIE O'BRIEN
