SB 343 - This act provides that public schools and charter schools shall provide reasonable accommodations for lactating students, including, but not limited to, access to private spaces for breastfeeding or expressing breast milk, as well as facilities for cleaning and securely storing breast pump equipment. A public school or charter school shall ensure that a lactating student is given a reasonable amount of time to accommodate the need to express breast milk, and a student shall not incur an academic penalty as a result of the use, during the school day, of the reasonable accommodations provided pursuant to the provisions of the act.OLIVIA SHANNON
