HB 107 -- Penalties for Public Service Commission Rules
This bill explicitly makes municipalities subject to a penalty of between $100 and $10,000 for each violation of the state constitution, other laws, or any requirement of the Public Service Commission except in cases where a specific penalty is otherwise established.
This bill also establishes a maximum penalty of not more than $10,000 for each violation of federal safety standards established by the Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Act. The penalty for any related series of such violations cannot exceed $500,000.
