HB 122 -- Service Dogs
This bill makes it illegal for an employer or labor organization to directly or indirectly interfere with a disabled person's use of an aid or appliance, including a guide dog, hearing dog, or service dog. The driver of a vehicle who fails to yield to a blind pedestrian will be liable in damages for any injuries caused to the pedestrian's guide dog.
The bill also adds taxis and educational institutions to the list of facilities and services which must be accessible to people with disabilities.
