HB 143 -- Special License Plates
This bill requires the Military, Military Reserve, National Guard, and Marine Corps League license plates to have a standard background of blue and white and be made of reflectorized sheeting materials. The letters and numbers will be red along with the respective approved emblems, seals, logos or special symbols. Any person who served in World War I, World War II, the Korean conflict, the Vietnam conflict, or the Persian Gulf War may also obtain such a plate with the words WORLD WAR I VETERAN, WORLD WAR II VETERAN, KOREAN VETERAN, VIETNAM VETERAN or PERSIAN GULF VETERAN in place of SHOW-ME-STATE.
This bill also requires that special legislator plates be made with graphic sheeting with a gold background, bearing the state seal in black. Any alpha or numeric characters indicating the district will be in black.
