SS/HB 153 - This act extends the transportation sales tax in St. Louis City and St. Louis County which had previously adopted the tax by a majority vote of the people, until December 31, 1997. The tax is currently set to expire on December 31, 1995. This act removes the five-year renewal provision for the transportation sales taxes.
This act also authorizes any first class county to establish
a county transit authority.
