HS/HB 194 - This act creates the not-for-profit Missouri Humanities Council and establishes the Missouri Humanities Council Trust Fund.
A maximum of $1,000,000 in grants may be appropriated to the Council by the General Assembly. Up to 50% of the grants may be used for Council operating and programming expenses, and the remaining grants shall be transferred to the Fund to be used for the promotion of the humanities in Missouri.
The Fund shall be administered by a 9 member board consisting of the State Treasurer, 2 senators, 2 representatives, and 4 members of the Council's executive committee. RONALD J. LEONE
