HB 245 -- Prevailing Wage
This bill requires determination of prevailing wage to be done by the local office of the Division of Employment Security. Current law does not specify any particular division within the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
The bill also removes the prevailing wage requirements for public works costing less than $200,000. All contracts for public works in excess of $200,000 must contain a guarantee that all workers will receive the prevailing wage.
