HB 293 -- Promulgating State Rules
This bill requires state agencies to perform a cost/benefit analysis on rules or regulations promulgated after the effective date of this bill. The analysis must reflect the costs and benefits to state and local government for each rule or regulation and the costs or benefits to the private sector for compliance with the rule or regulation. The results of the analysis are to be filed in the Missouri Register concurrent with the filing of the rule or regulation. Any interested party may challenge the results of the cost/benefit analysis in the same manner as the filing of an objection to the rule or regulation.
