HB 353 -- Tax Relief
This bill provides for a homestead exemption on real property taxes for certain homeowners who are 62 years of age or older. The exemption will be for that portion of assessed valuation of the homestead which exceeds the assessed valuation of the homestead in the year the owner reaches 62 years of age or older.
The bill will become effective January 1, 1996, and applies to all taxable years beginning after December 31, 1995.
