HB 467 -- Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners
This bill increases the number of people who sit on Kansas City's Board of Police Commissioners from 4 to 6. The 2 additional commissioners will be appointed by the mayor, with the consent of the legislative body of Kansas City. One of these commissioners will serve a term of 2 years; the other will serve a term of 4 years. Current law requires the other 4 commissioners to be appointed by the Governor.
