HB 533 -- State Aid to Public Schools
This bill changes the definition of resident pupil as used in the calculation of state aid to schools to include nonresident students who are the children of district employees. This change allows districts that voluntarily enroll such children to count them for state aid purposes. Under current law, districts may receive state aid for teachers' nonresident children.
