HB 575 -- State Aid to Schools
This bill requires the State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to reimburse school districts that have an income factor greater than 1.0 for any decrease in state aid that results from an increase in assessed valuation of property in the district. As used in the school foundation formula, an income factor of greater than 1.0 indicates that the taxpayers of the district have an average Missouri adjusted gross income greater than the state average and, as a consequence, the district is entitled to less state aid than it would otherwise receive.
