HB 576 -- Juvenile Community Service
This bill allows the juvenile court to mandate that a juvenile offender who is less than 17 years of age and has committed an act deemed a misdemeanor or felony if committed by an adult perform community service in the accompaniment of the parent or guardian of the child. Any person who refuses to comply with the juvenile courts order of community service is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.
