HB 596 -- Law Enforcement Training
This bill authorizes the peace officers standards and training commission to develop model standards for law enforcement agencies to increase effectiveness and efficiency, promote cooperation and coordination, ensure appropriate training, promote confidence, and establish an accreditation process for law enforcement agencies.
The bill also creates the Missouri Law Enforcement Agency Accreditation Commission Fund to administer the accreditation process. The fund becomes effective January 1, 1998.
