HB 610 -- Nursing Assistants
This bill requires nursing assistants, beginning August 28, 1995, to disclose information about their criminal history prior to employment in a skilled nursing or intermediate care facility. For nursing assistants employed on or after August 28, 1995, information about criminal history must be disclosed to the facility administrator by October 1, 1995, or within 30 days of obtaining the information, whichever is later. Criminal history information is defined, and includes any conviction for or guilty plea to misdemeanors or felonies. Failure to disclose this information as required is a class A misdemeanor.
