HB 677 -- Collective Bargaining
The bill submits to a vote of the people, upon petition by 20,000 registered voters in a political subdivision or 5% of the registered voters in a political subdivision, whether emergency response personnel should be allowed to have collective bargaining rights.
The bill contains provisions, effective on approval by the voters, which detail the collective bargaining process.
The bill includes a list of factors to be considered by arbitrators in the event the public body and the bargaining representative reach an impasse.
