HB 702 -- Township Counties
This bill allows individual townships to abolish the township form of county government in that township upon approval of the majority of the voters of the township. A petition of one-- fourth of the voters of the township is required in order to submit the question to the voters. All laws in relation to counties not having township organization will take effect immediately in that area of the county.
