HJR 9 -- DEPARTMENT OF AGING (Rizzo)
This proposed constitutional amendment establishes a state Department of Aging. The Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, will appoint the director of the department. The total number of employees for the new Department may not exceed the number of employees currently employed by any entity which will be combined into the new department, and the budget for these employees will be transferred into the new department. The base year for these employees and budget limits is 1995.
FISCAL NOTE: Cost to General Revenue Fund of $44,775 in FY 97.
