HJR 14 -- Environmental Bill of Rights
This proposed constitutional amendment adds an environmental section to the state Bill of Rights. All persons have the legal right to sustainable use of natural resources, and to live and work in an environment protected from harmful pollutants. In the enactment and administration of laws, the General Assembly, state agencies, and political subdivisions must make a determination that their actions are consistent with these rights.
