HCS/SCS/SB 598 - This act removes the current provisions for mail-in ballots for public water supply districts. The election authority may conduct the mail-in election, if authorized, pursuant to The Mail Ballot Election Act (Sections 115.650 to 115.660, RSMo). Conducting mail-in elections is permissive and is not required.
The Safe Drinking Water Commission within the Department of
Natural Resources is authorized to collect fees to enforce the
Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Some of these fees are detailed
in Section 640.100, RSMo. This act extends the sunset provision
for these fees from September 1, 1997, to September 1, 2002.
This portion of this act is identical to HB 1260.
