Current Bill Summary

SB 654 - Currently, at least a two dollar admission fee is paid to the Missouri Gaming Commission for each person embarking on an excursion gambling boat. One dollar stays with the Commission, and the other dollar is paid to either the home dock city or county. This act changes the amount and the distribution of the admission fee for boats which are docked in a city.

For every excursion gambling boat which is docked in a county, the $2 fee will continue to be collected, paid and distributed as under current law. For boats which are docked in a city, the admission fee shall be $2.25, with $1 being distributed to the city and $0.25 being distributed to the county's general fund. All boats shall pay the $2.25 fee to the Commission whether the tickets are complimentary or paid for by customers, as is the current law. This legislation does not affect the boat's payment to the Commission for free passes or complimentary tickets.
