SB 661 - This act authorizes a Conservation Commission or Department of Conservation employee, who has been trained and certified as an investigative assistant, to detain and report any person who has committed or is committing a violation of the rules, laws or regulations pertaining to the wildlife and forestry resources of Missouri. The investigative assistant is also authorized to contact law enforcement officers and assist in the criminal proceedings against the alleged offender.

The act also allows the Conservation Commission to regulate the cutting of vegetation, entry on areas closed to the public, and the use of water conveyances, and trailers on Conservation land and parks. Rural electric cooperatives are permitted to remove vegetation on easement areas provided prior notification is given.
