SCS/SB 726 - This act provides that the Department of Health in cooperation with county, city and city/county public health agencies shall be responsible for the core public health functions of health policy leadership and development, the assessment of health needs and services and programs to assure the delivery of appropriate health services to all Missourians.
This act would also allow local health departments to form
multi-county health departments and share funds in order to carry
out local health responsibilities.

HCA 1 - ANY ABORTION FACILITY NOT REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED AS AN AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER SHALL BE INSPECTED AT LEAST ANNUALLY BY THE DEPT. OF HEALTH. THE DEPT. SHALL GIVE 20 DAYS NOTICE TO ANY FACILITY TO COMPLY TO CHAPTER 188. IF A FACILITY FAILS TO COMPLY, THE DEPT. MAY SEEK JUDICIAL ENFORCEMENT.
