SB 816 - This act strengthens the licensing standards for psychologists in the state of Missouri. First, it removes the licensing exemption currently granted to hypnotherapists.
The act would also require that all psychologist employees hired by governmental agencies after August 28, 1996 must be licensed psychologist or in the process of meeting the required hours of supervised professional experience necessary for licensure.
The act would also remove the licensure exemption from
school psychologists, persons performing psychotherapy activities
or services with a Doctoral degree in Anthropology.
