SB 925 - Currently, the counties of Clay, Platte, Boone and Jefferson are required to pay the public administrator a salary. This act provides the option to other first class noncharter counties to pay the public administrator a salary or allow the public administrator to be compensated on a fee basis.
If the salary option is chosen, the public administrator's
salary shall be determined by the salary commission. After the
salary commission determines the salary, the public administrator
may choose whether to receive fees or a salary. If the public
administrator chooses to receive a salary, such choice shall be
irrevocable.
